Zach Quin

Zach Quin currently works in high-fired translucent porcelain and stoneware, often spending hours carving each piece.

He is interested in the dichotomy of rural and city; nature and       industry. He uses iconic imagery to explore these themes. His       influences are as diverse as ceramic traditions (such as Japanese tea bowls and Scandinavian ceramics), Minimalist Architecture, and street graffiti.

Zach shares his studio with his wife Adrienne Gradauer in Maple Creek Saskatchewan. They often share their studio with their two young girls Elsa & Zoe. The current project they are working on is a wood fired kiln which they are slowly building on a farm five hours north of their studio.
